Q: I own a business and would LOVE to have ToiléVu™ installed on our 4 toilets (2 mens and 2 womens), however, I'm not keen on having to re-charge the lithium battery every week or two. Is there an option for running ToiléVu™ off of power from an electrical outlet?
A: YES! Each ToiléVu™ unit comes with an AC adapter for charging the lithium battery. You can use this same adapter to plug ToiléVu™ directly into an electrical outlet and never have to worry about re-charging the lithium battery.
Q: How long will the lithium battery on the back of the tank last before I need to re-charge it?
A: The battery will last 2-3 weeks in a 3 person home before needing a charge. In a public access restroom we recommend re-charging once every 1-2 weeks. When the battery needs charging, the light will turn yellow. When the battery is fully charged, it will turn green and then eventually turn off. A full charge takes about 6 hours.
Q: When charging the battery, how do I know it’s charging and how do I know when it’s done?
A: After plugging the AC adapter into the wall and then the chord into the lithium battery port labeled “IN”, a green charge light will turn on. When the battery starts to become fully charged (approximately 6 hours if the battery was completely drained) it will begin to slowly blink green and eventually turn-off.
Q: If someone turns the deodorization system on and doesn’t flush or touch the “Stop” button to turn it off, will it continue to run until the battery dies?
A: No. The deodorization system will automatically shut off after 20 minutes.
Q: What is the maximum distance that the remote can be mounted from the receiver inside the tank?
A: 10 feet. But we recommend closer. The closer the better.
Q: If two toilets are within 10 feet of each other, will one ToiléVu™ remote activate the wrong toilet?
A: No. Once the remote has been sync’d to the remote receiver within the correct toilet, it will only communicate with that receiver.
Q: I have my remote mounted above the toilet paper dispenser and it works great but after a couple weeks it seems I have to keep touching the buttons in order to get ToiléVu™ to respond. Why is this?
A: Either the lithium battery powering the deodorization systems and auto-flushing unit needs re-charging or the 2 AAA batteries in the remote need to be replaced.
